Apprentice profile

Born in 1956. I consider myself an average person with a fairly typical life. I work in an art museum as a conservator. Both the visual and performing arts are extremely important to me. I also greatly value travel, and I have been extremely fortunate in that I have spent time in China, Japan, and Tibet on work-related projects. I especially like Medieval Art—Gothic period illuminated manuscripts in particular—and Japanese painting and sculpture. One is incredibly detailed, the other is greatly abstracted – two opposing world views distilled into colour and design. If I could do anything I wanted, I would travel the world visiting museums and theatres. This sounds stuffy, I know – but to me, it would be heaven.
